Last Chance Saloon

One can only admire Chris Hutchings' optimism and his constant positive outlook on the long list of defeats this season but as a fan, that optimism is just empty words if the points are not racking up.
The term "we were unlucky" has been an all too familiar catchphrase this season.
We cannot keep trying to solve the problem by bringing in a different loan player each week.
The key to success is having a good TEAM, not a good SQUAD!
By this I mean it's all well and good bringing in players and saying 'yea he's good' but if they don't gel with the team, then it's all for nothing. No disrespect to the players coming in, but how can we get a good team going if the players change on a weekly basis.
I play football and I know as much as anyone that if you play with the same players long enough, you learn each others styles and techniques and use it to your advantage.
Walsall need to sign some good PERMANENT players to really fill the gaps in our ravaged squad.

The match on Tuesday against Fleetwood Town is do or die. With a serious lack of morale around Walsall at the moment, progression in the FA Cup would be a great way to regain sight of that very small light at the end of a very dark and long tunnel.
However a loss against a much more inferior team like Fleetwood would definately signal the end of the Chris Hutchings era and an almost definate catalyst for change at the Bescot.
